In oligonucleotide applications, there is often a need to introduce blocking groups on the 3’-end and sometimes at the 5’-end as well. These blocking groups can provide exonuclease protection or prevent polymerase extension. One such blocking group is an inverted dSpacer, which can be incorporated with dSpacer-5’-CE Phosphoramidite during standard 3’ to 5’ syntheses.
