The cycloaddition between azide- and alkyne-labeled entities is an excellent method to facilitate oligonucleotide conjugations. While alkyne labeling of oligonucleotides is more straightforward, there will always be situations where an azide is necessary. A facile method of obtaining azide-labeled oligonucleotides is to use 3’-Azido-Modifier Serinol CPG.

- Coupling: No changes needed from standard method recommended by synthesizer manufacturer.
- Deprotection: Deprotect using the protocol required by the nucleobases.
